He will be offering his pool services (exhibitions, coaching, presentations) free of charge to raise these funds and would welcome any ideas to help him.
If any pubs, clubs or leagues would like to arrange a date then please get in touch via PM on here, Facebook or email (via JustGiving page).
Please pass this on to anyone who may be interested.
He will update this website and Facebook with any confirmed events and monies raised.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Scottish Champion & No1 Ranked Player
Entries are now being taken for the best singles series in Scotland, the Individual Membership (IM).For those who haven't taken part before, it costs £25, which covers you for 5 tournaments. Local qualifying rounds are held (first to 6 frames) and the qualifiers then go through to the national finals where prizemoney of up to £1000 can be won.
Not only is this excellent value for money (£5 per tourney), but it is the best possible way to sharpen your game, get noticed by the superleague captains and gain ranking points and an official Scottish ranking position.
If you would like further information, you can ask the IM rep, Stevie Brown ("Dosser" on this site), John Burns (JB) or any of the many league players who already take part.
Registration closes on the 3rd November, so be quick. Can all team captains approach their players to find out whether they would be interested. If you need a visit from any of the committee to come and explain how it all works and the benefits of joining, just ask. if any players are wishing to join Motherwell from another area, they are more than welcome, just PM either myself or Stevie if you have any questions
To the existing IM players, the best of luck for the new season when it starts

The 2010/11 season will draw to a close on 27th May, with the Presentation night which this year will be held in Bar 147 Hamilton. Following the success of last years bash, we have kept a similar format.
Its shaping up to be a fantastic night out. There will be:
1. Presentation of league and tournament trophies/ prizes
2. Complimentary Drink
3. Live entertainment once again courtesy of the fantastic Robert T Leonard
4. Superb hot/ cold buffet
5. Free Raffle
6. Disco/ karaoke (time permitting)
We're hoping this years presentation night is even better than last year's which was a big success and enjoyed by all who came, so we would ask you to bring your wives/ girlfriends along as they will enjoy themselves also (its not all about the trophies!)
Bar 147 has a max capacity of approx 200 people and places are bound to be in demand. Kevin has agreed to close the club to the public, so the night will belong to the players, family and friends of MDPL. each team will have a few places reserved, additional tickets are available on a 1st come, 1st served basis. As there will probably only be around 40 of these additional tickets, make sure you get in early and register your interest in the appropriate forum to avoid disappointment!!! "
"Extra" tickets cost £3 each
Looking forward to it already!!!
There will be a Super 11's fundraising event held in the Joker Bar at 8pm on Friday 4th February. The funds will go towards the costs for both Motherwell and Uddingston's players attending the super 11's events at Craig Tara and Petticur Bay.The night will consist of Casino Games (Roulette and Blackjack), a Race night (5 Races), Raffles and an Auction. There will probably be one or 2 other activities on as well.
As pretty much every team in both leagues will have some representation at the Super 11's (A, B, C teams etc), I hope that all the teams support this evening which will help with the players costs. There will be some excellent prizes (including cash prizes) from the casino/ race night and, all in all, it should be a really enjoyable night. Music & possibly late night Karaoke will be supplied by Sammy. Any further prize donations would be gratefully accepted, but at the moment prizes include
Cash
Bottles
Signed football tops
Cue Case
Despite some late call-offs, MDPL had a dozen people at an enjoyable night at Scotkart. Although the races were all done in good humour, it's fair to say it all got a bit competitive. There were some minor bumps and mad driving which all added to the fun. The younger (and lighter) guys prevailed, whilst Paul Mac took the honour of top oldie.......When it came to the prizes, The Railway Inn's Grant Fagan and Daniel Linden took silver and bronze respectively. They were outdone however by The Carousel B's captain Scott MacIver who won the Overall race with an impressive points total of 16 after the 3 races
The MDPL contribution meant that everyone enjoyed half price racing (about £19 each) and everyone who turned up had a great time, with a practice session followed by 3 races.
Thanks to everyone who came along.
